Located on one of the west coast's premier ocean front properties, this home was destined for greatness. This 5,300 square foot Cape Cod style home was designed and built specifically for the homeowner. The hillside, ocean front building site brought with it many challenges. One of the big challenges of this project was to harmonize authentic design with practical function for an active family of five. By collaborating with the architect and interior designer through out the design process every detail was attended to.

The house boasts some amazing features. All the exterior stonework was hand-laid. Hand-hewn beams grace the ceilings throughout the home. Handcrafted finish work, trim, and cabinets add a special touch. The custom marble and designer tile work tied everything together to depict this home’s New England charm.

In the end this home speaks volumes about our commitment to merging meticulous detail with everyday functionality. I have enjoyed being invited for an occasional visit and have seen first hand how much happiness the homeowners experience there. What a place!

This 6,800 square foot old world English Manor style home was unique from the beginning. The owner declared himself a “gentleman farmer” and sought to construct a home that would offer him and his wife a place to plant vegetable gardens and enjoy outside spaces. It was also important to include features that would accommodate their love of entertaining. Although their children were grown, they anticipated future weddings, grandchildren, holiday celebrations, and other occasions to welcome in family and friends. The homeowners took a very active role in the design and building process of their home. They wanted every detail, inside and out, to reflect their personalities. Every room was constructed with authentic craftsmanship and adorned with befitting decor to create this special, one-of-a-kind home. Built on a hillside, this home features full landscaping with appropriately placed masonry stone retaining walls enclosing a private pool and spa.

I personally enjoyed building this project. The owner's involvement made it a pleasure. I have since had the opportunity to be a guest in this home. It is clear to me that the collaboration between the homeowners and myself provided my clients with their dream home.

This home has many great views and a personal layout, giving it a comfortable and functional setting throughout. Many hours were spent with the homeowner capturing the feel of each room. The personalized entertainment center and the gourmet kitchen were designed to accommodate their love of entertaining and cooking. Rigorous design techniques and construction disciplines created this home and captured their desired lifestyle.

Certain aspects of this home that were particularly important to the homeowner. A beautiful built-in salt-water aquarium was positioned in the entryway to create an instant aura of tranquility. Spacious bedrooms and personalized bathrooms were designed for their two young growing boys . A spacious playroom was built on the second floor to provide ample room to entertain and catch the breathtaking ocean views. A full workout room and dry sauna were also incorporated to serve the needs of this athletic family. Other magnificent features of this home included an elevator, pool, spa, and waterfront dock to provide a place to moor their boat.

Every detail was personally attended to right down to the marble floors and granite counter tops. With fantastic ocean and island views, classic charm, and function, this home will serve this family and their love for the ocean for many years to come.
